TITLE: LESS IS MORE
We investigate the interaction between MATERIAL / MOVEMENT AND SOUND
We explore the form of possibilities to go from 2 to 3 dimensional with paper.
This masterclass is based on paper. How to make a performance from daily material.
Question:
What influence does our choice of material have when making objects and figires?
The material is essential and also the sound and possibility to move.
Everything starts with breathing.
The player is the center but must focus on the material.
We will do concentration exercises.
We need to figure out what the possibilities are with our voice. Choice or music a.s.o.
We will have a presentation in the conference “Puppetry and education”with the teachters.
Damiet van Dalsum (The Netherlands) will accompany the participants.
She is a well-known and experienced puppet teacher in Holland and abroad.
Participants: puppet-players, performamers, dancers, mimics, musicians and more.
Max. 15 participants
Material you have to take care:
*100 news papers ( you can collect the old newspapers)
*Some tables
*Black Curtans fort he presentaation
*Some spots fort he persentation
*A symple sound equipment NOT a BIG ONE
The participants has to bring with them:
* a newspaper
* gummy glue
* pencils
* a scissor
* black clotches
